A little history of my experience with this topic. Last year about this time I was introduced to a tool using the internet to grow my network marketing business. It was an incredible idea so I wanted to look into it more but I waited until around the first of the year because I was busy with my life and traveling. The next six months were filled with learning about using the internet by using a system. This particular system taught me a ton of information but it pulled me from my main focus, my primary business. I remember feeling overwhelmed and distracted all the time. With the system I learned about advertising online and was able to sign up over 50 members in the system (this was a great victory for me). You can see below that I was also able to write two articles on internet marketing and post them on a blog. The issue with these victories was that none of the 50 members that were coming in were following in my footsteps and utilizing the system. This made me question the usability and duplicability of the system. As I struggled for six months to put this system to work I started thinking about my members. Obviously none of them were applying the system but if they did would they stick it out struggling for six months like I was. In my head I knew if I stuck it out long enough it would work. But did I want to keep doing the same thing over again expecting different results? I think that is called insanity:)
My next step was I just stopped. I stopped doing any kind of marketing or business activites. I was really struggling and was questioning if the struggle was worth it. Prior to the year of internet network marketing I had great victories in my primary business. I earned an incentive that only the top 50 enrollers could win. My checks were about five to six times more per month and I was having fun. This year I felt like it was a constant struggle trying to learn, spending way more money with this internet system and so on.
During my time off I came to some great conclusions.
* If I did not change what I was doing I would have to work at my job until I was 65 or 70. That seems like a life sentence.
* My dream is financial freedom and network marketing was the tool I wanted to use to achieve that goal.
* I am in love with my primary business and I want to share it with the world to help people, so I must focus on it.
* I want to use the internet to grow a business because it reaches out to every corner of the world.
* I needed a new system utilizing the internet as a prospecting tool.
While I took the summer off from all business activities I was still receiving a newsletter from an internet network marketer Daegen Smith. It always baffled me that when I needed to hear something there it was in his newsletter. To be completely honest I looked forward to reading his emails. He was so focused on writing about internet network marketing. That is just what I wanted to do. I clicked on his ad for his ebook many times always holding back because I didn't want to spend more money on something that didn't work. It was in September that I realized that I needed this information and I wanted it so I took the dive. Now I am in application mode and it feels good to be back in business. His blueprint for success is a nuts and bolts guide and it is filled with tons of information. It is broke down in simple and easy steps that are not so overwhelming or distracting. My focus on my primary business is growing while applying this system. It is going to be an incredible year!

What is a forum? What does a forum have to do with internet marketing?
A forum is an online community and discussion place for internet users. Forums are often a main stomping ground for the best internet marketers on the planet. Forums are a place to share ideas, find answers, make friends, and develop partnerships.
A forum really is an environment full of internet marketers at every stage of the game. All the best internet marketers hang out in forums as well as the newbie’s who are trying to learn from them.
Forums are always growing and provide a support resource for your internet marketing endeavors. In addition to all of this forums are a fantastic place to promote your website!
How do I get started?
It is very easy to get started in a forum. First you do a search to find one that is most applicable to your internet marketing needs. Then you make your username and password. Now you are ready to start posting in the forum. Easy, Easy, Easy!
It is important to post relevant comments in forums. Most of them do not allow blatant advertising. The sole purpose of your posts should be to add value to the discussions in progress. Avoid using short “me too” posts. Make sure to put some original thought into your post and be yourself.
If you consistently post and provide value to the forum people will start trusting you. Then they will also start clicking on your signature file to go to your web page. That brings us to the next point.
It’s targeted free advertising!
Free advertising is always a great thing in internet marketing. Targeted free advertising is even better! Forums provide free advertising when you set up your signature file.
What is your signature file? It is a place to put your link back to your website. That’s right if another reader likes what you post they will click on your link. Presto, you have free advertising.
Your posts will be archived online forever. Providing you free advertising that you will benefit from for years to come!
You can learn from other successful internet marketers.
Being in a forum provides you a ton of free lessons from some of the most successful internet marketers. You can almost always tell how successful someone is by the number of posts they have. Many forums also reward you and rank you higher for having a higher amount of posts.
Forums are easy to do and it’s fun!
You can find help for any question you may have about internet marketing. If you cannot find a post that answers your question then just start a new thread and ask it yourself. You will be amazed at how helpful people are in a good forum!

To succeed in internet marketing it is essential to have a positive mentor or mentors to keep you going in the right direction. It is easy to get caught up in tasks that are not productive. A good mentor will help keep you on a productive path.
Your mentor will also be there to support you when the going gets tough. There will be challenging times ahead but utilize your mentor to pull you through the hard times.
2. Use A Proven Internet Marketing System
The internet is full of opportunities and all of them promise you tons of money with little or no work. Don’t believe it. Anyone who has ever been successful had to work to get there. That is when a good system will help you get on track.
When you find a good system, FOCUS on it. Distractions are always being thrown in front of you with very glamorous offers. Your system should help you with your focus on internet marketing.
3. Advertise
It is critical to advertise, advertise, and advertise with internet marketing. If no one can see what you have no one will buy. It is that simple. When you find a good system it will teach you all the basics of advertising on the internet.
