Is Your MLM Business Making You Crazy?

Let me guess you are probably like any of the other masses of people who were sold on MLM because of how easy it is. You were told it was easy to go out and get three people who automatically did the same thing immediately. You liked the idea of having it easy and making tons of cash!

The reality has probably sunk in for you by now that it is not an easy business to build. Your thoughts about this realization are probably on the verge of making you crazy. It does take time, effort, and skills to be successful in MLM just like it does in any business. If you have come to this realization, congratulations, you have made great progress. It means you have kept your head above water for longer than the other 95% who have already dropped out.

The next thing you must master in not going crazy while you are building your MLM business is monitoring what you say to yourself. It is critical that you become aware of your self-talk. How many times have you planned to go out to talk to someone about your products or business and by the time you reach that person you have talked yourself out of it. The truth is you never talked to anyone but in your brain you have already been rejected!

Beware of your thoughts. They can either bring you up or tear you down. The good news is that you do have control of them. Napoleon Hill says it well, "Success comes to those who become success conscious. Failure comes to those who indifferently allow themselves to become failure conscious." Read that sentence over and over until it sinks into your thick skull. Then make it a habit to dwell on your successes no matter how small they may be!

When you were told that building a MLM business was easy you probably felt some comfortable feelings. Do not get used to being comfortable. It is a true indicator that you are making progress if you feel uncomfortable. What! Who wants to be uncomfortable? It is a simple reality that must occur for those who long to change their current situation. When you are comfortable you are not changing. If you are not changing you are not moving toward your destination. You are most likely moving further away.

Do not let yourself be controlled by fear of being uncomfortable!

Now you know that much of building a MLM business is learning how to control your mental thoughts. Remember that anything worth having takes a massive amount of energy. If you are married or have children you know what I am talking about. Get control of your mental game and be committed to continuous learning and you will watch your business grow beyond your wildest dreams!

Work From Home MLM Business

Today many people are looking for a work from home MLM business. It is a popular trend today as many people are sick and tired of the rat race. They are looking for a way out of their J.O.B. status (just over broke). Others are simply being forced to look for something else because of corporate downsizing and jobs being sent to other countries.

When people want to work from home in a MLM business most can only afford to do it part-time while they still work at their job. That is truly one of the greatest benefits of MLM. You can start only part-time and do most of your work from home.

The internet has become a great tool to help people do more work from home. It is important to remember that the internet is only a tool. The MLM business is about building relationships. The internet can make the relationship building process easier through blogs, email and auto-responders. But the truth is people still like real contact. This contact can be via the phone, snail mail, or meeting in person. Keep this in mind when using the internet and you will build stronger relationships faster. This will result in faster growth for your business.

The choices for a work from home MLM business are endless. There are many products available that you can do home parties or demonstrations. In these types of businesses you have to go out to put on the party but most of the work can be done from the comfort of your own home.

Many MLM companies are products that are consumable or that you use regularly around the house. With this type of business most of the time you will get customers that will get a monthly order. As long as they love the products and you keep in touch they will provide you business month after month.

The key to any MLM is to find team members who want to build a business as well. This is where the incredible leverage opportunity of this business model gets exciting. Do not be fooled customers are very important to your business but you want to continuously be building relationships with potential business builders. It is when you have a team of business builders that financial freedom and time freedom become a reality.

It is important to remember that your business will produce what you put into it. A real challenge to working at home is to stay on track or keeping to your schedule. This is critical in any field. Most of the time we have a boss, teacher, or supervisor that makes sure we get all our duties done. You do not have that at home. It is very important to get an accountability partner that will help you stay on task.

It is very exciting to be able to work from home in a MLM business. It is a dream that many people have but few are willing to pay the price to experience. Make the choice today that you will live the life of your dreams without the stress of a boss or commute!

Are You Taking Baby Steps?

Interesting title as my third child is due to be born in about six weeks. It is amazing how fast time is flying!

Why am I talking about baby steps? It is important that you take a baby step in your MLM business each day in the right direction. You may not notice much difference in a week or even a month but you will be surprised at what it will look like in a year in your business.

We all know the story of the tortoise and the hare. The hare appeared to be much faster but in the end who won?

It is important to focus on all your victories and use them as motivation to keep you moving forward!

Does the future of ML.M depend on Internet Marketing?

It seems like everywhere you are looking for training on network
marketing, people are talking about how the traditional ways doesn't
work anymore and the internet is the only way.
You will hear about how they generate leads through youtube.com
and myspace.com etc

But does it really work for network marketers or is it just hype to
get you to buy their training programs? The answer is YES and NO.

Internet marketing works really effectively, but ONLY for a specific
purpose and it's not the silver bullet many make it up to be.
In fact in many cases internet network marketing is hurting the long
term reputation of our great industry.

It seems like nobody has realized it, but network marketing is not
just about making sales and doing signups. What it really is about
is building teams and leading them to take action. It's also about
helping people develop themselves and becoming more. And it's about
creating a community and a sense of family and belonging to a cause
bigger than an individual.

When you can do this people will stick, stay and duplicate. If you
can't do it, people will drop out as soon as the first challenges
come around or they get bored because they don't get results as fast
or as easy as they thought.

If you don't have the skill of relating to people, connecting,
prospecting, presenting and leading, it doesn't really matter how
many people you can sign up over the internet or anywhere else.
They are going to drop out.

I've met someone who personally signed up 500 people and still
didn't have more than 200 active people.
FIVE HUNDRED Personally enrolled !!!!!!!!
That means that there was absolutely NO duplication.

Duplication is ultimately what it's all about in network marketing.
If you don't have duplication your growth will soon slow down and
stop. IF you know how to duplicate, you don't need to sign up a
bunch of people to succeed. I signed up just 8 people that grew to
over 1000. Then I signed up another 10 and my organization grew to
4,500.

I've met a person that built a downline of 30,000 people without
having a computer. So in my experience the most important skills
to master are: connecting, building trust and leading.

IF however you DO have those skills, the internet is an amazing way
to generate leads. In fact as we speak I'm developing and testing
the next generation system for how to generate tons of f.ree and
cheap leads over the internet.

So the answer to the question posed in the title is:
No the future of M.LM does NOT depend on internet marketing.
You will always be able to build a huge business in the real world,
if you have great human skills.

However if do have the necessary human skills, internet marketing
can definitely speed up the process of finding qualified people,
and there is no doubt that it will play a more and more significant
role in the future.

How to Avoid This MLM Prospecting Hazard to Achieve Massive Success

It is true that there are many prospecting hazards that MLM business owners make. There is one hazard though, that can literally keep you from achieving the success you want. It is based on the premise that no one wants to be sold. Everyone wants to make their own decision.

So what is this MLM prospecting hazard you want to steer clear of?

Telling is not selling! The hazard is not asking your prospects enough questions! If you are spending all of your time telling, you are not going to get anywhere. People get bored listening to you. They will clam up and reject you before you get to the third reason why your opportunity is the best thing since blue jeans!

The key to prospecting is asking questions. The person asking questions is the person in control. If you do not ask your prospect questions, how are you supposed to know what is important to them. You are also potentially wasting your time. If you do not ask your prospect what they are looking for, how can you know they are looking for what you have?

It is a natural tendency for people to resist statements. But, if you ask them the right questions they will discover and believe the benefits themselves! This is when they start selling themselves. It takes the entire responsibility off your hands. You also create and build tons of credibility when you ask the right questions.

An important aspect of asking questions is to ask them from the right attitude. If you come from a place of truly wanting to help this person you will be able to come up with great questions and your prospect will also feel your sincerity. When you meet someone who is genuine and concerned about your wants and needs, do you feel attracted to them? That is exactly how your prospects will feel about you when you ask the right questions!

It is so important to ask your prospect really good questions that you should commit to becoming a lifetime student of questions! A good tip to start learning how is to pay attention to what questions a really good salesperson asks you. Be aware of how it makes you feel and how you could possibly use it in your own MLM business. Are You Failing In MLM Enough?

This might sound funny to you but it is a good indicator of why you are having success or why you are not. This past weekend I was fortunate enough to see Robert Kiyosaki speak live at my Primary Business Convention. He was an incredible speaker and it was very exciting to listen to him!

He told his story about being a salesman early in his career. He was struggling to stay afloat and could not figure out how to change that. His rich dad told him he had to increase his failure rate. Understandably Robert was quite surprised by this statement. "What do you mean?" He then went on to explain if you are not failing fast enough you are not learning and you are not talking to enough people!

If you want to have more success in your MLM business...... Get to failing faster. Talk to more people who tell you no. The law of averages will start kicking in and eventually you will get better and better.

How many times are you planning to fail today? (Or how many people are you going to approach about your business today)

If you are stuck in a rut, do something today that will make you uncomfortable. You will learn from it and it will make you a better person!

Internet Network Marketing - Is the Internet Sabotaging Your Network Marketing Business?

The internet is full of network marketing business opportunities, how to e-books and courses. In fact it is bursting at the seams! If you are not careful you can become trapped in a funnel of really good sales letters and find yourself doing a lot of buying. In this buying spree usually there is little learning and implementing taking place.

Every new sales letter gives you hope that this is the tool that you really need to grow your network marketing business opportunity. You buy a product, get frustrated about the lack of quality and then pretty soon you are sucked into another sales page. It becomes a very bad cycle. Your spouse threatens you and you promise this is the thing that is going to get you to your wildest dreams.

This is not really what you imagined growing you network marketing business opportunity on the internet would be like. It is supposed to be full of new prospects running to you with their credit card in hand asking, how can I be part of what you do? You really start to feel a little scammed.

This is when you have to STOP. Take some time away from the internet and get a piece of paper. Write down your goals, your WHY, and the reason you are in network marketing. Take some time to reflect on this. It will re-direct you to focus. If you do not focus you will not accomplish anything. It is important to understand that you must focus on one course until you are successful. Then you can repeat the process. But, you must first be successful in one area first.

When you are lost on the internet it becomes easy to forget it is only a tool. You are still the captain of your network marketing ship. The tasks to learn on the internet are really easy compared to other things you have accomplished in life. It is important to make a commitment to learning and implementing one new thing everyday. If you get in this cycle your mindset is in the constant mode of growth.

After you find your focus it is time to enter the internet again. Remember you have value to offer. It does not matter if you have not made millions of dollars like the so called guru's that are constantly marketing to you. When you realize you have value to offer you will become your best business asset!

Next, seek out a successful mentor who has gone through the trenches before. It may be hard to find one to communicate with personally but get on many lists and find someone who you connect with. Once they have earned your trust see what their product is about. You will most likely be impressed by how much value they offer.

The amount of information that is available free through newsletters is incredible. When you are able to learn from free resources you have met a milestone. You have entered the learning mode. You do not have to buy something to learn and implement something of value in your network marketing business.

The most important part of this mode though is the implementation stage. Keep in mind that even with a kick butt guide you will still make mistakes. That is a part of life and you can choose to learn from it and grow or let it tear you down. Never forget that 99% of life is attitude. That is one thing you do have control of!

The internet is an incredible place to build a network marketing business. If you persevere you will be ahead of over 90% of the population. Keep up the learning and implementing and your business will grow faster than you could ever dream of.

Network Marketing and Squidoo - What Does Squidoo Have to do With Network Marketing?

If you have been network marketing online for any length of time you have most likely heard of Squidoo. The first time I ever heard this I was like squid what? It is Squidoo. It is a site that has a community behind it. It has a goal as a platform to bring the power of recommendation to searching online. It is often referred to as a social marketing site or a social content site.

That is all great but what does it have to do with network marketing?

Squidoo offers a free place for network marketers to build a lens (content modules you can create) to network and market their business. Here a marketer is free to shamelessly promote their business and themselves. This is all hosted and featured on Squidoo. In your lens you are able to promote your business website. This in turn results in more traffic for you.

Why Squidoo?

The top reason you should learn about this site is that Google loves it! This is not just any love affair they really like to rank them on their top 10 search results. It will be much easier for you to get first page listing for your Squidoo lens then it will be for your website. So if you do your keyword research you can have your individual lens ranking high very quickly. That converts into more free traffic. Who in network marketing needs free traffic?

The next great reason you should utilize Squidoo.com is because it is free! Yes you read that right it is completely free to set up a lens. It is also very easy. If you have any internet experience you should be able to have a lens up and running in no time. If you need ideas on what to put on your lens take a peek at the top lenses and see what they are doing. They are on top for doing something right!

Of course there are always tips and tricks to get your lens ranking higher more quickly. The key is to do your keyword research. Then you must offer great value to your readers. Value will always win in the game of marketing.

Mike Dillard of Magnetic Sponsoring Building on a Budget - Book Review

If you have been on the internet long building your internet network marketing business you at least know of Mike Dillard and his Magnetic Sponsoring books and courses. He has quite an impressive track record. He just released a new product called Building on a Budget.

Building on a budget is a compilation of techniques to build your network marketing business while on a budget. This was very enticing to me because I know that most people start their business on a budget. Most of the time new business owners are on a very tight budget. At the very least I wanted to see if the product would bring value to those in my downline.

My first impression was very good. I ordered the book and received the free bonus immediately. The free bonus was worth the price of the book alone. It had some very interesting ways to build your business online on a budget. Some of the techniques described are completely free to implement. Honestly I had heard of a couple of the ways but have never pursued them. After this training they made much more sense and I felt more comfortable with trying them.

Next impression was also superior. To my surprise I received my hard copy of the book within three days in the mail. The content was very easy to read and understand. It was in a very clean and concise, do this and then do that, format.

Today was the first day I implemented one of the free strategies. I was only testing it so I did it on a very small scale. Imagine my surprise when I checked the stats and found that I had a prospect only two hours after posting an ad. This is for sure a good sign in my book. I did so little to get a result. To say the least I will test this method much further to see what other kinds of results I can get from the free advertising.

In addition to the Building on a Budget book you also receive access to the magnetic sponsoring back office. It is also jammed packed with loads of quality training.

Another gem of this product is the way Mike also discusses the attraction factor in all your marketing. This is a great product and I would recommend it to anyone who is building on a budget or who has sponsored a fellow network marketer that is building on a budget. A Little Wisdom About Systems......

Hope you all had a great day! It was sunny here and in the 40's so it was a great day. I was able to take the kids outside and build our first snowman for the winter. The snow was finally sticky! I have to admit this Minnesota winter is getting loooooong. Spring is coming!

Anyway I wanted to share a great email I received from my mentor Daegan Smith. Daegan is a true internet network marketing genius so take some time to gleam a little knowledge from the wisdom he shares......

Principles Of Successful Network Marketing Systems

If you've been out there as a network
marketer online for any length of time you've
probably seen several different systems being
used by different leaders and different
companies.

In fact it can be quite confusing with all
the different options out there.

And the obvious question comes to mind . . .

Which system is the best?

To tell the truth, I couldn't tell you which
system is the best. The reason that one
system works great for one company may well,
if transposed to another company, a huge
failure.

We tend to think in polar opposites as
humans.

We always want to know who's the best at this
and who's the best at that or what's the best
system for this or what's the best system for
that when in reality the world we live in
isn't filled with just black and white -
right or wrong.

Let's take a few second to go through a few
principles about systems.

1. The simpler the better
2. The more focused to YOU the better
3. The higher the price the more human touch

The first principle is pretty self
explanatory.

The simpler the system the easier it will be
for someone new to pick up and duplicate.

Network marketing is all about duplication
and the more complicated the process of
duplication is made the slower it will occur
if at all.

If you were to create your own system make
sure you keep it as simple as possible and
you will greatly increase the chances that
that system will be successfully duplicated
down your genealogy.

The second principle may need a little more
explanation.

Out there in the world of network marketing
there are internal systems and external
systems created.

The internal systems are our company's
marketing systems and tools. We as
distributors have little control over these
so it's important that you choose a strong
internal system from the outset if you really
want to give yourself a head start in
creating success.

If you choose to use an external system for
your team make sure that it's focused and
branded to you at NOT some guru type.

Why?

There MUST be continuity between your system
and you or you risk creating confusion and
ambiguity.

There are two situations that I've come
across out there online to lookout for that
you should be weary of if you decide on using
a system that you do not create yourself.

The system that is completely guru centeric - a
system to build them and not you

If you have a system that is NOT tightly
focused around you then it becomes a system
for systems sake.

That's not what you want.

Let's move on . . .

The system with two many business to join

These are the systems where they claim
everything is free and they lead you down a
path of join X business first then Y business
second and so on because that's all part of
the SYSTEM.

First off, a system like this is not simple
so it violates principle #1 and requires too
many steps to be completed successfully so
your prospects probability of successfully
completing all the steps involved in
decreased and duplication dies.

Secondarily, there's really no reason for it
as it doesn't help you really focus your
efforts on building YOUR business.

I'll say it and I'll say it again.

Focus on your one business, put all your eggs
in that basket. Only after you max out the
comp plan should you consider joining another
business, but when you're making $50,000 a
month why would you even want to?

I've seen these sites where they promote
joining one business after the other and the
honest truth is they make work for the first
year or two and make the creators of the
system a good deal of cash, but they have
always failed in the long run because of
their lack of focus.

Make sure your system is simple and focused.

The last idea to share is just that the
higher the price of your company's product or
service the more human touch you are going to
need to incorporate into your system for it
to work.

For high ticket items, over $1000, that human
touch doesn't necessarily have to be
something you do personally but it must be
part of the system.

That's it.

The bottom line is . . .

Systems work and will work for you, just be
sure your system holds to the principles
above.

4 Qualifications A MLM Business Builder Needs

Let's be honest the business builder is the prospects we are all trying to attract to us. Most dream about that person who signs up in their business eager to start building their own. The occurrence of finding this person is the exception not the rule. It is just the law of averages. The fact is if you make a point to attract enough people the business builders will come out of the wood work.

The average industry results are that 20% percent of the people you sponsor will be the business builders. The remaining 80% will consume the products but not really do anything with the business. The 20% that are the business builders will help manage the other 80% that are product users.

The next question to answer is what qualifies someone as a business builder? There are many clues to let you know whether or not someone is going to build a great organization or if they are going to suck the very life from you. It is very important to notice these traits right away.

If someone joins and does nothing but call you several times a day complaining and venting it is someone you need to put in their place or simply let go. It is not worth your time and energy to groom a dependent. You are looking for someone who is independent and takes action first and then asks you questions based on their results.

The four qualifications you want in a business builder are:

1. They need to have a burning desire and passion to change where they are at in their life.

This is an important trait for your business builder to have. They need to have a big WHY. The legendary Jim Rohn says that, "When the why is big enough the how is easy." The MLM business has its rocks in the road just like any other traditional business but the rewards are so much higher. It is important to have that burning desire to keep on the bumpy road until it smoothes out.

2. Be committed to putting in a minimum of 20 hours per week working the business.

If you were to go get a part time job anywhere you would probably work at least 20 hours a week. If you are serious about wanting to grow your business a 20 hour minimum work week confirms that.

3. They are willing to commit to learning and application.

Many times I have heard the statement; if you are not growing you are dying. This is very true in your MLM business as well. You want to make sure the business builder is taking time to learn new things and taking the time to apply them. The beauty is that they can learn while they earn!

4. Finally this person is willing to invest some money to grow their business.

If someone is willing to invest some money into their business you know that they have a higher commitment level. They are willing to risk a little to gain a lot. The part of this business that many people seem to forget about is the marketing. Marketing can and should be done in many ways. You should use the free methods along with the paid methods.

These qualifications should help you as you sort through your prospects and qualify them as recruits. Some people may start out as customers and then have a life change that transforms them into business builders. How to Choose the Best Wellness MLM Network Marketing Business


If you have been around at all you know that there are literally hundreds of companies selling nutritional supplements. There are juices, pills, powders and more. With all these choices how do you choose the best one? It is most important that you realize that these products were not all created equivalent. The businesses that you are considering becoming a distributor are not all one and the same as well.

There are two very essential factors you must research before you get started.

1- The product line.

2- The business.

First thing to consider is the products. You want to make sure you will want to recommend them to anyone. It is vital that you can see and feel the results yourself. You also want to know what other people have experienced using them.

The products quality and ingredients are considerations to be aware of. How they are manufactured and distributed are another item to consider.

Another point to consider about the products is their uniqueness. Since there are so many choices on the market what makes this company’s merchandise unique. Does the company have patents on their products? If the time and effort has been taken to file a patent on a product it is a good indicator of quality and contents.

Is the product line easy for anyone to figure out what they need? Some companies have so many choices it is difficult for the customers to know what to take. You might want to consider this before you take on that responsibility in business.

The business you will be representing is the second key you must research thoroughly. If it is a new start up company realize that you take the risk that it will be gone within the first five years at any time. That is just the law of averages. Those that have a track record of 5-10 years or more are much more likely to be around for awhile.

Make sure the compensation plan is equal to your best efforts. If it takes more than 500 people in your organization for you to earn $10,000.00 a month or more based on a reasonable monthly purchase you may want to leave that business alone.

5 MLM Lessons from a Babe

It is really amazing what children can teach us without really even being able to talk clearly. Every day I learn something new or a lesson from my past is brought up again from my kids. This is mainly MLM lessons from my two year old!

Lesson #1 Don’t Ever, Ever Give Up!

This is something my two year old teaches me daily. She knows that she is two when we ask her but she has not been able to master showing she is two with her fingers. Today she did it in a creative way using her forefinger and her pinky. She still tries to do the bunny ears two. She will have me show her time and time again. Sometimes I even catch her practicing on her own. She has not given up yet and she keeps getting closer each time she tries.

This is so true in your MLM business as well. It is ridiculous to think that you will be able to create a huge down line with no previous experience. It will take lots of practice. You will also find your own creative ways to find successes along the way. As long as you keep trying and learning from those who have done it already you will get there!

Lesson # 2 Say “I do it” several times a day.

My two year old says this many times a day. She wants to take more responsibility each day. She wants to put her own clothes on. Sometimes they look a little funny but she is able to get them on. She is adamant about learning through doing. She does not want to watch. She wants to try it herself. Sometimes she can do it and other times she ends up asking for help.

In your MLM business you need the “I do it” mentality. Your mentors and leaders can only teach you so much. The rest has to come from real life experience. Sometimes you will get stuck and need to ask for help. That is OK. You will learn more by applying yourself. Learn from your mistakes and grow is a fact of life. It seems like adults seem to forget that very important life concept!

Lesson # 3 when you throw a fit get over it with a cookie!

My two year old can throw a fit with the best of them. She will get instantly mad if something does not go her way. She has always thrown quite dramatic fits. The beautiful thing about her fits are that she gets over it and forgets. She does not mope around and complain. She moves on to the next thing. She is also learning that throwing a fit does not really get her anywhere and they are becoming less frequent.

This is priceless advice for your growing MLM business. Sometimes things will go badly. It is just a fact of life. If you need to throw a fit, make it quick and then get over it. No good will come from you moaning and groaning about what went wrong for the next month. As an adult we can learn from these experiences and grow. In life you will always be thrown curves in the road. It is not until you learn how to react to them appropriately that you will grow as a person!

Lesson # 4 Smile and laugh all day long!

My two year old is so full of life. She is a very happy little girl. She loves to laugh and have fun. Her smile and laugh can light up a room. It truly is contagious.

In your MLM business remember your team will catch your mood. Make it light and fun whenever you can. Smile and laugh many times a day!

Lesson # 5 Use your imagination!

The stuff my two year old comes up with is amazing. Her imagination is inspiring! She can be a mommy or a kitty in the same 5 minutes. She will create any place she wants to be and really act like she is there.

Again this is an area that adults tend to lack in. Use your imagination when you dream. Let it run wild once in awhile. If you try it you will catch yourself feeling what you are imagining. Do not be surprised if you catch yourself smiling! Imagination is important for MLM success. Yes it is true that a system makes your business more automated but it is your imagination that makes that system work just for you.

Brrr... It's Cold Outside!

Well as I am writing this message the wind is howling outside and the weather channel is reporting a wind shield temperature of -80. Yes you read that right eighty degrees below zero. Hard to believe just yesterday it was 20 above!

Thank God for nice, cozy, warm houses!

February is chucking right by at a quick little pace! It is already one third over. Tomorrow will be the start of a new set of goals for myself. This past month my main goal was to write one article per day. I am proud to say I have met that goal and intend to continue at the same pace. Tony Robins says it takes thirty days to create a habit. Guess I created a habit of writing an article every day!

A fun little thing happened to me tonight. I was reading my email and listening to some great training in an email. When I was done I went back to my inbox and saw I got another message. The subject line was: Congratulations! You Just Made Another Commission Sale!

Those are fun emails to get. They seem to come more and more as I generate more traffic. It is always a blast to make commission sales from free traffic generation!

Learn Online Prospecting - Because Dead Beat Leads Don't Lie!

Cold calling leads is about as fun as shoveling manure on a 150 degree day! Are you a cold lead calling victim? Have you been abused from list after list? If this raises any hair on the back of your neck you need to learn online prospecting!

If you have been in MLM or network marketing for any amount of time you know that prospecting is what drives your business. If you are going to prospect you need leads. Most people cruise through their "warm market" with lightening speed (or learn they don't want to go there!). The most common solution given to people from up line leaders is to purchase cold leads.

Speaking from personal experience cold leads are not the answer. Most lists have been sold several times. They are old lists so you usually have multiple disconnects and wrong numbers. People hang up on you right and left and some are down right nasty. The bottom line is cold calling leads is a waste of time for most people.

Online prospecting is the answer!

Online prospecting is generating your own red-hot targeted leads. What do I mean by red-hot targeted leads? These leads are exclusive to you. They have not been sold several times. They are yours and yours only. They are targeted because you are the driver of the traffic. Find a group of people, put your link in front of them and let them take the action. The amount of traffic you generate will determine your success.

Online prospecting is exciting but you need to be willing to learn the ins and outs of the process. The process should be as automated as possible. When a prospect opts into your lead capture page you need to have an immediate email follow-up. This can easily be set up via an auto-responder.

Another great way to automate your online prospecting is to communicate with your prospects often. Do not sell, sell, and sell to them. If they did not buy the first time continue to give them value. It takes most people an average of seven exposures before they actually buy. Always include the link to your business in the email but do not constantly focus on it.

What is the big online MLM Secret? It seems that every "Guru" has their secret formula that you need to know to succeed. You get all excited about it, click on their link and are brought to a fancy sales page to sell you yet another must have e-book.

Do you have a library of e-books full of MLM secrets aging in your computer drive? Today is the day to really look at what online MLM Secrets are.

When I first got started in the internet MLM marketing I got stuck in the trap of "being overwhelmed". This trap causes us to have weakened reasoning skills.

We start to fall for the sales pages thinking this is the key. This is what will make my business so easy and automated I can set it up and let it go! This is where the disease sets in. It seems that we buy all the e-books with the secrets but continue to have no results.

So how do we clear up our demented thinking and get back on the right track again?

Go back to the basics. Online MLM is really basic when you break it down piece by piece. The most basic aspect of it is application. It is true with anything in life. Learning does not take on its fullness until the application phase.

An example that is very vivid for me in my own life is when I became a nurse. In nursing school they touched on every subject they knew we needed to practice as a nurse. When I got my first job I felt like I had hardly scraped the surface of knowledge to practice. Needless to say my first few years practicing as a nurse were when I learned the most.

The learning is continuous with application. It will be the same for you when marketing MLM online. The best part is that you can use application immediately after you learn something. Repetition is king so the more you do something the easier it will get for you and it will feel more natural each time you do it.

The last e-book I bought opened my eyes about the concept of secrets of online marketing. It's really as simple as the Nike logo, Just Do It. So stop frantically buying every promise of easiness and start applying what you know on a consistent daily basis. You will be amazed at the incredible results you will yield. Multi-Level Marketing: Have You Been Burned Before?

How many multi-level marketing companies have you joined in your lifetime? Are you a multi-level/ network marketing junkie? Does it seem like every time you turn around there is a better company for you to join that will be easier than the last?

If this describes you, don’t be hard on yourself. You are not alone. Hundreds of thousands of people join multi-level or network marketing companies daily. Most of them join on hype. They usually excitedly tell one to two family and friends. Get rejected big time and quit.

Does this describe your past experiences in multi-level marketing?

If it does, don’t sweat it. The amazing thing about this life is we have many second chances. I am guessing that if you are reading this article you are back in the saddle again. Ready to change your life forever!

This is your time to shine! There are some very basic things you should understand before you get rejected by some family and friends and call it quits again.

No, this is not going to be a line about perseverance. This is going to be an obvious truth that your probably have not faced yet in your multi-level or network marketing business before.

Let’s take a time out for an example. Look at your local exercise gym. Do they have regular business hours? Can you imagine if when they first opened they did not have set hours? How would you know when to go to work out? Have you ever set a regular schedule in your new multi-level marketing business?

Now let’s talk about what gets done in this “work time”. Do think the owner of the exercise gym only sat down to write about his goal and thought about them a lot. No, he took action. Every day he took action that would build his business.

It is important that when you set aside time to work your business, you do activities that will grow your business. Most of your time should be focused on putting more prospects in your funnel. In other words you need to be in communication with many people during your work hours!

By now I am sure you are getting the picture. It is vital to treat your new multi-level marketing business like a business. Anything less, you can expect it to fail because any business would fail if treated like that!

The next critical detail your multi-level marketing business NEEDS is for you to get proper training. As you can imagine the fitness gym owner had to take training on how to run and operate the equipment in their gym. Right down to the smallest detail, like running the cash register.

Keep in mind sometimes learning new things can be frustrating. Get over it. It will only get easier every time you do it.

Try implementing treating your multi-level business like a business and watch it grow. Focus at first on the training aspect. But, do not forget to apply as you learn!

Today Was an Internet MLM WOW Day!

This past week has really been incredible. One week ago I was talking to one of my network marketing/ MLM mentors and I set some pretty high daily goals. One of my goals was to write one article a day. Writing articles has always been a personal struggle for me. It is not hard to do but it takes discipline to sit down and do it.

After setting it in my mind that I would not go to bed until I wrote an article the days started to pass. Surprisingly I was finding it easy to write one article per day. Heck today I even wrote two! Meeting my goal for the first week was my first victory.

My second victory was when I was checking how good my keyword research was. You can imagine my shock when I found myself, more than once, on the FIRST page of a google search! It was very exciting to say the least!

It was less than a year ago that I started to learn about network marketing online. The first time I heard the name Blog I had a Huh reaction. A blog meant nothing to me. Honestly I did not even know what a blog was. Today I have a couple of blogs and I know the importance of using the blog to grow a MLM business online. So this is a little guide on how to blog network marketing for your business.

For those that are new to internet network marketing a blog is an online journal. You can post whatever you want on your blog. When done right Blogging can be a powerful leveraging tool for your internet network marketing business

Why is blogging such a potent internet network marketing tool?

Blogging puts the relationship into internet network marketing.

We have all experienced the coldness and hard selling that the internet has to offer. Most of us in network marketing know that a relationship is important in building a business. So how do you build a relationship over the internet? With a blog! A blog allows prospects and business partners to get to know you on a more personal level. They can look at your blog and see you are a genuine person. It is important to include some personal stuff about yourself like your story. Let them know your why and why you chose this industry. Personal touches like that will make your prospect feel like they know you or can relate to you.

As your business grows blogging can save you loads and loads of time.

Training your team is a very important part of growing a network marketing business. When you use a blog to record what is working for you and your team, it saves you the time of telling each individual new team member what works and what doesn’t work. You can also post specific training on you blog that lets your team members do it on their own time.

A little bonus to blogging network marketing is it can bring you targeted traffic. To be honest with you it will probably not bring you a ton of traffic unless you really work at it. How to Grow Your Wellness Network Marketing Business Faster!

When you got started in your wellness network marketing business you probably wanted to try the products first. Your sponsor probably told you about the amazing results they had using the wellness products. Like most, you probably are or were facing some sort of healthcare challenge. It is true that we are in a health crisis. People are getting sicker everyday at a younger and younger age. Our country’s report card on health is an F all the way when you compare it to the cost of healthcare! With the health of our country in such shambles it would seem that wellness network marketers would have an endless amount of prospects just waiting for them to tell them how to get healthy. It is true that the market for wellness products is vast but the type of prospect you are looking for to grow your wellness network marketing business is different than you might think.

Do you talk to unhealthy prospects first?

Many wellness network marketers write down a list of their sick friends to tell them about their new wellness product that will change their life. The problem with focusing on sickness is that now your prospect wants you to be a doctor. They say things like, “I have this, what should I take, or what kind of results have people with this kind of illness had.” These types of issues force you to take a role you are not trained to handle. These are questions for a healthcare provider not a wellness network marketer. This can also become a legal issue for the company you represent if you start acting out of your realm. These people do probably need your products but do not target them, let them come to you first.

So if you don’t target sick people who do you talk to?

A better prospect for the wellness network marketer is a health conscious consumer who is always trying to improve their health. These are the people that with a little education can see why they need the product and they become your loyal and faithful customers. Some of them even go on to share the products with other people to start growing a business. Even though the health conscious person is better to prospect than the sick person they are not the best prospect out there.

There is an even better prospect out there to help you build your wellness network marketing business faster and stronger!

The best prospect to build your wellness network marketing business is the opportunity seeker. That is an individual who is looking for an opportunity to start a business of their own. You may be asking, “Why is the best prospect for wellness network marketing an opportunity seeker?” The reason the business opportunity seeker is the better prospect is because they are looking to build a business. It doesn’t matter the product, the opportunity seeker’s main focus is to build a business. If they become a wellness network marketer the best choice for them would be to use the wellness company’s product that they are representing. 3 Secrets on How to Make Money in Network Marketing

Is there really a secret on how to make money in network marketing? Before I answer that question let’s review how and why most people join this industry in the first place.

New network marketers sign up to start a network marketing business with sights of family vacations, new cars, and dream homes. Network marketing is the vehicle to bring out their dreams and desires. Dreams that the new networker had tucked away long ago. They had accepted the fact that they were mediocre and would have to accept a mediocre existence. This is really one of the beautiful things about network marketing. It allows people the permission to dream again. Most give up on dreaming right around high school so it is quite a fun experience to let their imagination loose again. Their sponsor assures them that this is the easiest business ever to build. The new networker is assured that once they tell one person that person will beg them to sign up. They will have people knocking at their door to sign up.

After the initial dream honeymoon the reality hits that something must be done to meet this goal. This is where about 95% of network marketers start the failing process. They look to their sponsor to learn how to make money in network marketing. The sponsor directs them to their friends and family. The excited new network marketer goes off to tell everyone they know about XYZ Company. This is when the rejection comes. People start telling the excited marketer these things never work out and they are a scam. This is where the bulk of people drop out of network marketing.

Enough said about the ones that drop out of network marketing. This article is for the network marketers that stick around for the long haul. The secret on how to make money in network marketing is really no secret at all. The secret is you must put in the time and treat your business like any other successful business is treated.

First secret that is critical for your success is proper training. If you needed brain surgery would you go to a brain surgeon or a neighbor that read a book about brain surgery? Of course you would go to the brain surgeon. Why, because he has been trained to be a brain surgeon. This training issue applies to your network marketing business as well. If you want to have a successful business you must get proper training in running a successful network marketing business.

Next secret is you must put in the time. Honestly most part-time jobs are about 15-20 hours per week. If you want to make money in network marketing part-time you must put in some time. At least 15-20 hours of time per week will get your business running. It is important to note that your time must be spent effectively. It does you no good to count time that you are checking emails and making goals as your “work time”. Work time should be treated just like that, work time.

The last secret is that you must endure the trials. Even with good training you will still make mistakes that you learned not to do. You will have uncomfortable moments with new business activities. Persevere and watch how they become more comfortable after time. You will still have bad days, months, or even years. But, if you commit yourself to continuous learning and application you will triumph over any trial. You will achieve the greatness that 99% of people will only ever dream of. The REAL Reason you are a Network Marketer... Do You Know???

Happy New Year! It is amazing that it is already 2008. The new year is a
great time to reflect about our decisions of the past. This is a great article
to jog some thoughts about how you are trying to grow your MLM or
Network Marketing business.


"The Dirty Truth About Network Marketing That you Must Know
and Understand If You Ever Want to Succeed
"

Here it is:

On the surface, network marketing companies appear to be
thriving communities of consuming customers all happy with
the product that they are consuming and they really are, but
what drives that community of thriving consumers has
absolutely nothing to do with the product itself.

Let's think about this statement.

Let me ask you a question:

Why did you decided to get started in a network marketing
business?

You don't have to say anything out loud but answer this
question in your head right now to yourself.

I guarantee you answer is somewhere along these lines "Well,
I started my business because I wanted to make some extra
money and who knows maybe even become financially free."

Am I right?

Well let me ask you another question now.

When you prospect and talk to leads about your business what
do you talk to them about?

Most likely you try to stick to the corporate script which
inevitable ends up with your prospect asking you questions
about your network marketing companies products or services.


And by the end of the conversation you've lost control of
the call and both you and your prospect end up confused
(usually get somewhere between details about your companies
product or service and the compensation plan).

You get of the phone and hope that my some grace of god your
prospect you paid $5 to confuse will decided to join your
business.

Likely story!

Here's why:

Successful Network Marketing has NOTHING to do with selling
your prospect on your product at ALL!

To the contrary, the only thing that you should EVER talk to
your prospect about is the same thing that got you sold on
your companies business . . . More Money and Financial
Freedom!

You see network marketing is built on financial hopes and
dreams and honestly, if you're looking for business builders
to recruit into your organization your prospects hopes and
dreams of financial success are the only thing that you
should speak to them about, so they can sell themselves on
it.

As an illustration of this principle think about the
situation this way, if you had equal amounts of your
company's product in one hand and money in the other which
do you think your prospect would choose?

The top money earners know the answer to that question and
that's how why make all there money!

Here's the other shift in perspective that you're going to
have to make if you want to have ultimate success with your
business and it's simply a logical continuation on the point
just discussed.

What you think of as your company's product is NOT its real
product at ALL!

Do you think your network marketing company's product is its
moon juice or long distance service?

If you do you're very wrong.

Continuing on from my last point, remember your network
marketing business will not grow if you just push product it
will only grow if you sell people on their financial
dreams.

So if you think about it, your company's real product is
it's sales training and marketing system. The better your
company's marketing system is able to help you generate
sales the better any more quickly you will be able to reap
the financial benefits of your business.

To extend this point further, eventually you'll want your
downline to do all the work so you don't have to.

The simpler and more effective the marketing system plus the
strong the training your company provides the easier your
system will duplicate.

If you want to think about it in its most simple form, your
company's real product is its duplicability.

If you find a system that is easy to duplicate and you can
have your prospect "sell themselves" on their financial
dreams you will have a highly successful network marketing
business.

Your Job is Simple:

Find people that want to attain financial freedom your way
and then shorten their learning curve so that they can go
out and do the same.

You decide your destiny!
Go out and make something happen today!
